No. 3 Laksa, Everything In

Ask the kitchen

Heat 5 of 5 · you were warned

Everything in the No. 2, plus an online shop with a real checkout. Customers browse, add to cart and pay by card, and the money goes straight into your own Stripe account. Quoted to your job and fixed in writing before anything starts.

What's in the bowl

Four things come in every No. 3, and each one has a job.

  • Broth

    Everything in No. 2

The whole No. 2, with the shop on top.

Up to twelve pages, the words written by us, town pages for the areas you work, your Google Business Profile set up* and your Google reviews shown or linked alongside any customer quotes you supply. Nothing is taken out to make room for the shop.

  • Prawns

    A product catalogue

Every product on the shelf, in one place.

A catalogue of your products, each with a photo, a description and a price. You send us the products and photos, and we build the pages. The size of the range is quoted to your shop.

  • Tofu puff

    Cart and Stripe checkout

A real checkout, not an enquiry form.

Customers add to a cart and pay by card through Stripe. Your Stripe account is set up in your name and the money goes straight into it, so it never passes through us.

  • Sambal

    Shipping, tax and order emails

The fiddly bits, sorted before the first order.

Shipping and tax are set up to match how you sell, and the customer gets an order email as soon as they have paid.

*Google verifies a profile with someone from the business present, so we set it up with you, in person or remotely, whichever suits you. The conditions are on the terms page.

The shop

The shop, start to finish.

This is a demonstration shop with made-up products, so you can watch a No. 3 work from the shelf to the inbox. Yours would carry your products, your photos and your own Stripe account.

  1. Browse

Customers see every product in one catalogue, and you choose what is on the shelf.

  2. Product page

Each product gets its own page with a photo, a description and a price: the customer knows what they are buying, and you send us the details once.

  3. Add to cart

One tap adds it to the cart and the total stays in view: the customer keeps shopping, and you are not answering "how much for both?".

  4. Pay with Stripe

The customer pays by card through Stripe, and the money goes straight into your own Stripe account.

  5. Shipping and GST

Shipping and GST show as their own lines before the customer pays, so there are no surprises at the door, and you have no sums to do by hand. (Set up to match how you send orders and how your business is registered.)

  6. Order received

The customer gets an "order received" email straight after paying, and the payment is already in your Stripe account.

A demonstration shop. Not a real business.

Your shop, your products, your Stripe account. We build everything else around them.

How your order runs

Every order gets a docket, and the docket moves down the line. All timelines are business days.

ORDER DOCKET · No. 3 Laksa, Everything In · fixed price

  1. Order in

You send the docket and we send a reply by email the same business day. If nothing arrives, ring 0429 109 328.

  2. Price agreed

You tell us what you sell, roughly how many products and the areas you work, and you get a fixed price in writing that says what is in and what is out. Once you say yes it does not change.

  3. On the stove

Your deposit, your product list, your photos and the details we ask for start the clock, and we quote the timing to your shop.

The clock pauses while we are waiting on you. Changes are unlimited within the quote while we build. You set up your own Stripe account and we connect it, then we place test orders with you before anything goes live. We book your Google Business Profile session in the same stretch, in person or remotely, whichever suits you.

  4. Served

You pay the balance, the shop goes live, and the site, its source code and the design are yours. Your domain has been in your name since day one, and the Stripe account always was.

Business days only. The price on the docket is the price you pay.

Not in this bowl

Not in this bowl, yet.

A No. 3 is the top of the menu, so there is no bigger bowl to step up to. What it leaves out are the specials: separate jobs that sit beside a shop, each made on its own and quoted to the job. Here is what each one would let you do.

  • Not in No. 3

    No logo or brand work

A No. 3 is built around the logo and colours you already have. If those need work, a logo or brand refresh is quoted separately, and it is best done before the shop so the shop is built around it.

    The special: House Sauce
  • Not in No. 3

    Not built for AI search

Getting your products named when someone asks an AI assistant what to buy is a job of its own, and a good shop is the groundwork it stands on. A No. 3 does not include that work, and nobody can promise to be named.

    The special: The Robot's Broth
  • Not in No. 3

    No moving pictures

A short film or moving ad for a product, or for the whole shop, is made on its own and quoted to the job.

    The special: Moving Pictures
  • Not in No. 3

    Nothing to spin around

A 3D model of a product, which customers can turn on the page, is made on its own and quoted to the job.

    The special: The Spinning Plate

Also outside a No. 3:Hosting, security updates and small changes come with the optional monthly care plan, quoted alongside the build. A catalogue beyond the size set in your quote, or a payment provider other than Stripe, is quoted to the job.

The count test

Look at what is still on your list. If it is a logo, a film, a 3D model or AI search, those are specials, and we quote them with your shop or later. If it is something else, ring us and describe it.

Not sure which bowl fits? Ring 0429 109 328 and describe the job. We will tell you which one it is, including when a No. 1 or No. 2 is enough. Start smaller and step up later: the pages already built carry over, and we quote the difference.

Questions from the counter

How much does an online shop cost in Australia?

It depends on the shop, so we quote each one and fix the price in writing before anything starts. The figure moves mostly with how many products you sell. We are not registered for GST, so none is added to our price. Describe what you sell, and ask the kitchen for a figure.

Can I take card payments on my website in Australia?

Yes. A No. 3 has a real checkout, where customers pay by card through Stripe. The Stripe account is set up in your name and the money goes straight into it, so it never passes through us. We place test orders with you before the shop goes live, so you see a payment come through before a customer does.

Do I need an online shop, or can I sell through social media?

You can do either, and a shop of your own is the one you control. You choose how your products look, how customers pay and what the checkout says, and your social posts can send people straight to it. If you only sell a few things now and then, ring us first: a No. 1 or No. 2 may be all you need.

Do I need to charge GST on my online shop?

That depends on whether your business is registered for GST, which is a question for your accountant or the ATO. If you are registered, your checkout shows GST on the order. If you are not, it adds none. We set it up to match what you tell us, and we cannot give tax advice.

What fees does Stripe charge on an online shop in Australia?

Stripe charges its standard fees on each payment, and they come out of the payment inside your own Stripe account. We do not add to them. The current rates are on Stripe's own pricing page, so check it there before you decide, because they can change. The fees are separate from our price for building the shop.

What do I need to have ready before an online shop is built?

You need your product list, with names, prices and descriptions, plus a photo of each product. You also set up your own Stripe account, and we guide you through it. Those details and your deposit start the clock, and we quote the timing to your shop. The clock pauses while we are waiting on you.

How does shipping work on an online shop?

Your checkout shows the shipping cost before the customer pays. You tell us how you send orders and what you charge, and we set the shipping options up to match, so the price on the screen is the price they pay. Packing and posting the orders stays with you. We set shipping up once, in the build.

Can a South Coast business sell to customers outside the region?

Yes. A shop packed in Narooma or Merimbula takes an order from Perth the same way it takes one from down the road: the customer pays at the checkout and sees the shipping on the order. Where you send, and what you charge to get there, is your call, and we set the shipping up to match.

Put it on the docket.

Tell the kitchen what you sell and roughly how many products. You'll get a fixed price in writing, and nothing starts until you've said yes.
